The Downtown Franklin Farmers Market is located next to the Train Depot/Visitor Center at 210 S. Main Street, Franklin. The Market is open two days a week, Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM and Wednesdays for a specialty market from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The Downtown Franklin Farmers Market provides the local and surrounding communities with access to locally grown fruits and vegetables along with specialty items such as honey, jams, homemade soaps, locally raised meats and eggs, and much more. Produce changes weekly but some items you may see are: Heirloom tomatoes Fresh Seafood: scallops, oysters, steamed crab, salmon, tuna, shrimp Grass fed Beef Honey Jams Eggs Essential Oils Lotions Peaches Blueberries Salad mixes Vinegars Homemade soaps Watermelon Cantaloupe Concessions include: BBQ Beef, hot dogs, french fries, cold drinks, Italian sausage, hamburger, chicken There is also children’s activities and live music must weeks!

Join the Town of Weldon as we host our Independence Day Celebration, at River Falls Park in Weldon. This is a free family event that will offer a little something for everyone. There will be food vendors serving up some hot dogs, ice cream, funnel cakes, snow cones and more. Backyard Groove will provide the live musical entertainment, starting at 6:00, with a little soul, funk, beach, country and rock music. Abrams Amusements will be there with rides and games for the kids, and then for the finale, a fireworks display at dark.

The Smithfield & Carrollton Farmers Markets are dedicated to being genuine homegrown, homemade, and handcrafted farmers markets. Vendors are all local farmers, ranchers, home cooks, crafters, artisans and craftsmen within 100 miles of Smithfield, VA. The Smithfield Farmers Market is open every Saturday morning from 9am - 12pm, with Holiday markets running from 9am-1pm. It is held in the parking lot of Bank of Southern Virginia at 115 Main Street, Smithfield. The Carrollton Farmers Market is held every Wednesday afternoon from 3pm-6pm, with a special Carrollton Christmas Market planned for November 30th, 10am - 4pm. It is held in the parking lot of Old Point National Bank, off HWY 17 in Carrollton.

Weldon Mills will host this free event. There will be live music, food, drinks, and fireworks. The Hammers will start playing some great Bluegrass music at 3pm on the patio. Then the Town of Weldon will have a band starting at 6pm in the park and they will play until the fireworks show starts. Finally, The Willie Peebles Band will come on after the fireworks show and close out the night.
