FRANKLIN CITY GOES BLUE ON APRIL 24 for the Child Abuse Prevention/Awareness Walk. Join us for a short walk through the downtown Franklin community, beginning at City Hall at 12:00pm. Everyone is encouraged to participate and to wear blue. The local schools will also be participating by encouraging students to wear blue on this day. Benefit Fish Fry

This fundraiser is for Gary Askew, Isle of Wight County Parks and Rec Parks & Grounds Manager, and beloved friend of the Fair has been an employee of Isle of Wight County for over 25 years and a critical staff member of Parks and Rec and supporter of the Fair since 2011. Gary was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer late last year and has made the difficult decision to retire effective January 31, 2021. The Isle of Wight County Fair Committee invites the community to help us raise funds to assist with covering the cost of Gary’s medical treatments and help him and his family with other daily necessities following his retirement. Tickets are $10 and available for purchase at the following locations: Carrollton Nike Park Windsor Hardware Farmers Bank (Windsor & Smithfield) Finley’s General Store Any fair committee member Checks can be made payable to: Windsor Lions Club Admin.
