There will be a Walking Tour of Fort Boykin Historic Park in Isle of Wight on Sunday, February 9th at 3pm. Fort Boykin has been a part of American history since is was known as the Castle that was constructed to protect the Jamestown Colonists from Native American in 1623. Today, Fort Boykin remains essentially intact and represents a good example of military architecture of the Civil War era. This event is held by the Isle of Wight County Sesquicentennial Committee.
