SAT APR 29
"The World's Mine Oyster: The History of Oystering in Hampton Roads" presented by the Isle of Wight County Museum is Saturday, April 29 at 11:00am.
An old myth specifies the best time to eat oysters is during months that contain an R. Naturally, the same rule must apply to a presentation about the history of oystering in Hampton Roads. Heather North, Virginia Oyster Restoration Specialist with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, is the pearl in this lecture. She will share some history as well as information about oyster populations and oyster gardening seminars. For more information call 757.356.1223.
